I am so excited and can’t wait to show you my new artist studio workspace, see below photos!

I have had my eye on this little unit for about 5 years thinking it would make a great creative space and this time when it came up for rent, I couldn’t resist.

This is my fourth artist studio and it is the cutest by far. This one suite's me to a tee and feels like mine.

It is based in Tutbury, an historical and picturesque village situated in the heart of England on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire; where peacocks wander freely around the village.

With a charming red brick exterior and situated in a quiet courtyard with other independent businesses, including a popular cafe to get my morning cup of tea and have breaks when visitors pop by.

Opening up for the first time!

There's lots of natural light and lovely old red and black tiles on the floor.

The view from my desk. It has a lovely peaceful feel and straight away I felt safe and at home here.

Slowly moving in. I am wanting to keep it minimal yet warm and inviting.

What it is all about! Somewhere to get messy, work on several projects at once and paint bigger, much bigger. It is definitely a space that encourages inspiration and boosts my creativity, I could stay here all day every day.

There are still things that I want to do, like paint the walls white, change the lighting to natural daylight bulbs, get a plan chest for my papers - but I am happy at the moment for those things to unfold in their own time. Presently I am enjoying the peace, space and light that the studio has given me.

If you wish to see how things develop in my artist studio, view new projects and works in progress, the best place to do so is via my Instagram feed which I post to regularly. Also, sign up to my monthly-ish arty newsletter here where I share my latest news, work and creative tips.

All the best, Angela * artist, author and creative coach.
